Hey, Netflix users! Question time

Dear fellow Netflix users,

What are your favorite movie adaptations of books that you’ve found on Instant Streaming? Any worth a watch?

The last one I saw was probably the Swedish version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, but I’m always on the lookout for a decent film on the service.

  1. That is a really good question. I’ll be watching the comments for the answers because I’m always disappointed when it comes to books being adapted for the screen. Since I loved the book, I will definitely watch the Swedish version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo because you liked it…

    1. YES! I’ve watched both of those, as it happens. Girl, Interrupted is one of my favorite films, too. Very good recommendations for those who might be reading! Thanks!

  2. I love the classics (books and movies). “Jane Eyre” with Joan Fontaine and Orson Welles is great, as is “Sense & Sensibility” with Emma Thompson. Looks like there is a 2011 version of “Atlas Shrugged” on there now…maybe I will give that a whirl!

    1. Thanks for your comment! I think I heard of the Atlas Shrugged movie and I think I heard it’s … bad? I’m not a fan of the book either way, though, but I am curious. If you watch it, let me know what you think!

  3. I definitely agree with you about the Swedish “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” movies. So far those are the best that I’ve seen. I love the BBC miniseries also but I haven’t read all of the books that they are based off, of.

    1. I didn’t know there was a BBC miniseries! The first book was very good, but I thought the second was a big disappointment. People apparently like the third best, but I have yet to read it.

      1. Sorry I meant I love BBC miniseries like “North & South” etc, & the Swedish “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” movies.
