Astronaut Chris Hadfield lands a book deal about space life

Chris HadfieldChris Hadfield is kind of really cool. And he’s Canadian, so deal with it.

The former International Space Station commander of Expedition 35 has over 1 million followers on Twitter, where he shares his experience and knowledge of outer space. Now he’s secured a deal to continue those thoughts in longer form.

Little, Brown and Company will publish An Astronaut’s Guide To Life on Earth on October 29, according to Galley Cat. Hadfield will even narrate the audiobook version for Hachette Audio.

The book contains stories about spacewalks and calm response during a crisis. From the press release: “[Hadfield’s] own extraordinary education in space has taught him some counterintuitive lessons: Don’t visualize success, do care what others think, and always sweat the small stuff.”
